Bachelorette Party Themes
There is no better arena for great humiliation than bachelorette parties. Your friend’s last night as a single woman should be one filled with equal amounts of celebration and sheer embarrassment. It’s something she will remember for the rest of her life and accordingly, bachelorette party themes should be planned carefully to give her what she deserves.
It’s important to keep the bride’s personality in mind when planning her night. If she is a very ‘girlie’ girl you could easily go with an ultra feminine theme. Decorate the party area in all shades of pink and glitter, start the night off at a spa or even hire an esthetician to come to the party and give pedicures, manicures or even wrinkle injections (budget permitting)! If the bride is of an open temperament, comb sex shops for adult favors and decorations.
Forgo pink for animal print or black and red. Exotic dancers of both genders can be hired to come to the party instead of going to a strip bar. The close quarters only serves to enhance the humiliation potential. If she is an avid outdoorswoman, arrange a camping trip complete with white water rafting or rock climbing to celebrate the end of her single years.
In all of these examples, the bride is the focus of the gathering. It should stay this way at all times. Each guest should have the opportunity to spend time with the bride that night, and put a drink in her hand. A way to do this is giving each guest a responsibility. For example, one guest can be in charge of documentation, one can be in charge of cover charges and still another in charge of her level of intoxication.
Games are important for a successful bachelorette party. Some examples are asking men for their underpants, collecting phone numbers, naughty scavenger hunts and escalating dares. Asking other brides you know about the events at her party might give you some ideas. Try to keep the humiliation at an acceptable level for the bride as you don’t want to cross the line into emotional scarring.
Art gallery hopping, pole dancing lessons, wine tasting, horse races...The theme and venue of your party depends entirely on the bride. Relying on clichés for entertainment will not have the same effect as a party planned with her likes and dislikes in mind. She’ll notice and she’ll appreciate it.
